David Leeming's Biography

David has been a professional artist in various guises for over 25 years. Working as an illustrator, a visualiser in advertising, a scenic painter in the leisure industry and also as a Muralist, Pasticheur and Copyist. He has produced a diversity of subjects from contemporary and period portraiture to Flemish still lives and from Equestrian to Landscapes. He has produced entire collections of paintings for two English country houses comprising of canvases of various subjects all painted and aged to fit comfortably within their period surroundings.
His murals have been increasingly in demand and David has worked on numerous projects around Europe, ranging from painted roller blinds to entire themed rooms including the design and decoration of the exterior of a bus on behalf of Clacton Pier, Essex. More recently he has been involved in teaching classes in the art of Tromphe l'oeil both in the UK and the Netherlands.
Having worked for most of his artistic career under direction of others, David now has the time and freedom to paint under his own direction and Triton Galleries are proud to offer the work of this extremely talented artist for the first time.
