Much Wenlock

Evening in Castle Street

As the age of steam declined, Don’s love of the railways inspired him to leave his career as an Art teacher and pursue a career in art itself. After a varied start and a range of subjects, Don decided to concentrate on railways and to his pleasant surprise his paintings began to sell.

As sales increased, Don’s nostalgic scenes became as much about the landscapes surrounding the locomotives as the locomotives themselves.

After 30 years of living in the same small Cornish Town, Don continues to work in his studio, producing his highly sought after nostalgic images.
