Robin’s interest in art began when his parents brought a print from Boots. This later became an obsession and by his early twenties, Robin was avidly collecting old watercolours and oil paintings. He soon learned that although his budget was tight, original work could still be acquired and he loved the thrill of unearthing bargains at ‘junk’ shops and in auctions.
It was not until later in life that Robin began to paint himself, and it was whilst on holiday in Italy that he got the ‘bug’. Now Robin’s impressionistic and vibrant pastels capture the magical effects that ever-changing light creates on water or landscapes and he has found a ready market amongst collectors for his work.
With a bold and exhilarating pallet, Robin’s work is constantly evolving and he hopes that one day someone may look at one of his prints and be motivated to begin a similar journey.
