Jonathan has always had a fascination for wildlife and his early career as a professional musician and actor complimented his love of oil painting. His interest in animals and their preservation is the generation of much of his inspiration and in his view they seem the only subject to paint!
He has been to many countries in search of that special piece of reference. Jonathan is well aware that as a professional artist specialising in animals he is working in a field where many have trodden before, so when working on location, he will hold a vision in his ‘mind’s eye’ and is never happy until he has captured that special image.
With his dedication to the subject, Jonathan is constantly striving to create new images with individual qualities - and it is this that makes Jonathan’s work so highly collectable.
